Since 1963, New Flower Drum has been more than a restaurant — it has been a gathering place for the Etobicoke community. Founded with a simple belief that great food brings people together, our family has spent over six decades perfecting every dish on our menu.

We serve the finest Cantonese, Szechuan, Hong Kong-style, and Mandarin Chinese cuisine, crafted from recipes passed down through generations. Whether it's our legendary Szechuan Chicken, the perfectly roasted Peking Duck, or a humble bowl of noodle soup, every plate leaving our kitchen carries the weight of our heritage.

Our Journey

1963

New Flower Drum opens its doors on Lake Shore Blvd West, Etobicoke — a family dream realized.

1975

Expanded into the fully-licensed dining room, seating over 80 guests with a curated bar.

1990

Second generation takes the reins, honouring traditional recipes while adding new specialties.

2005

Launched takeout and delivery, bringing Mimico's favourite flavours right to your door.
